Qualifying - Race 1 - Race 2 - Race 3

2016-04-19 : Race 12 - Brands Hatch GP

Rain during all of the practice, rain promised for the entire weekend. I went into qualifying and was really unfocused for a while, and the rain started right when I finally got in.. I got an 11'th on the grid and the track was incredibly wet. Directly after start I managed to sneak up to 8'th during the first lap, and then I had a massive fight with Mattias, Martin and Lars for the entire race. Especially staying before Martin was important since he was just 4 points behind me in the total standings before this race. I managed to take 7'th eventually, and Martin fell down to 10'th. Very good for the second race.

The second race was also really intense, I had an amazing fight with Erik for many laps and managed to get past him, chasing after Martin. Sadly I planted the car firmly into the tire wall in Druids, and then went off another time later. I ended up 7'th again which would be good if it wasn't for Martin's 3'rd place. Before the last race Martin was a single point behind me, and I had to be 4'th or better to beat Kent ahead of me in the table.

The excitement was at a maximum and the pulse was rushing in my ears during the formation lap. I darted into first in Druids, and managed to keep it for many laps, all while increasing the gap to Martin who was in 2'nd. Eventually Eric Stranne came like a rocket through the field, and since my tires were very tired, he whizzed past me without effort. As the flag fell, I came 2'nd, and Martin in 3'rd which meant that both of us passed Kent in the final standings, and I managed to stay ahead of Martin. In the last race for the season I climbed from 7'th to 6'th, which is an absolutely incredible result for me.

This season has been amazing, incredibly hard racing, a big bunch of really good opponents and those races... wow! Thanks for this year everyone, I will definately be here for next season.
/Johan

2016-04-05 : Race 11 - Silverstone

Fastest practice times, quite a bit of practice and 2'nd on the grid for the first race. Promising, and the first race was interesting, but a bit dull. I was less than 0.5 seconds after Conny the entire race, but only had one chance top pass and though I was a bit harsh, so I let him pass again. An amazing 2'nd place!
Second race, starting in 3'rd and saw Robert trying to pass me after just a few laps. Suddenly Tobias plows through both of us, and I ended up in 10'th. I tried pretty hard to get back in, but with 66 kg of penalty weight and medium tires I just had to wait for the rest of the race and settle for an 11'th which ended as a 10'th after Tobias penalty.
In the third race I got shoved off again, and then again just half a lap after! I was really angry after being pushed off three times in the last two races and pushed to the max from my 11'th spot, setting "best lap" on the way. I eventually chased down Lars in 5'th and did a pretty aggressive pass with distinct contact, which resulted in an understandable protest, however, it was dismissed and I got keep my 5'th.. On the whole, decent results, but incredibly annoying getting shoved off a number of times.

2016-03-22 : Race 10 - Rockingham

We had massive problems up until the qualifying started, always good to change setups right before the race right?
The first race was super tight, I had a massive blast, fighting from start to finish (I can't actually remember with who). Position? well I didn't really care after the race, it was such brilliant racing. The second race was just as exciting with incredibly tight racing throughout the race, and before the last race I was trembling. In the third one I chased after Henrik and Erik for the first half of the race, and then tried to pass Henrik for almost the rest of the laps. After lots of attempts I managed to pass, and managed to finish a decent 6'th.
Without a doubt the tightest race weekend so far, super intense in all three races.

2016-03-08 : Race 9 - Essington

Ok qualifying, but then the first race started... I didn't get even a whole lap, got slightly out of the line and hit the wall. The car caught on fire and that was that. I started dead last (16'th) in the second race and started chasing hard through the field. After a few creative passes and some crashes I managed to finish 7'th, which resulted in pole for the third race. I fumbled the start badly in the third and fell down to 3'rd immediately, and a short while later the game froze for well over a second! I came backwards, after planting the car in the wall, and got passed by a bunch of people. I came out after Mats, and even though I was a little bit faster I settled behind him since this weekend would be removed from my results anyway. an 8'th which in itself is a decent result, but as a whole the weekend was disastrous.

Qualifying - Race 1 - Race 2 - Race 3

2016-02-23 : Race 8 - Knockhill

We both had massive problems getting the speed up during practice. Mats and I did some rather big last second changes to the car and hoped for the best. The qualifying started, I had a calm out lap, and proceeded beating my old personal best with 0.2 seconds, promising indeed! I drove two more laps just to get the feel of the new setup, and as I'm about to start the 5'th lap, Patrik R gets super sideways after grass contact, braking for the pits, he flies out onto the track, and I can just watch as I t-bone him. My engine bursts in flames and the qualifying is over for me.
First race, went for soft just to get a decent time for starting positions in the second. Had a few good laps, and then managed to place the back of the car on top of the tire wall, and it took 35 seconds to wiggle the car back down. Managed to pass one car and a few others disappeared due to accidents, and I gained seconds per lap on Lars, but had to let both Erik and Eric pass as they lapped me, so I never got the chance to attack. A measly 12'th, ok considering the circumstances I suppose.
Race 2. Started 6'th (good lap time obviously). I immediately started chasing Kent, after a rather aggressive attack I managed to pass him, despite him being faster. The rest of the race was agony! I drove as hard as I could, defending in every corner, and in the end he managed to pass me. Well deserved, but still quite annoying for me. Finished 6'th which I'm really pleased with.
Race 3, penalty weight and medium tires... and starting 2'nd due to reverse starting order, this promised to become interesting. Again, I had a great fight with Kent (always great fun) and when he passed me after a mistake I continued chasing for the rest of the race, while defending from Henrik's attacks. I managed to stay 2'nd for several laps, but in the end I had to settle for 3'rd. This, is an amazing result! I'm super happy with the results from this weekend.

2016-02-09 : Race 7 - Snetterton 300

Again, a really bad qualifying for me. Started in 10'th, but managed to keep away from incidents and climbed through that to 6'th which I managed to keep to the finish line. Eventful race, but not for me. Second race was a different story, I picked softs for this one and started in 10'th again, after the first few laps I had an amazing fight with Bertil the entire race. He drove super defensive and managed to keep ahead, despite my softs, and a decent 7'th in the end. The third race was scary, Mats, Lars and Bertil right behind with softs, and I (with success ballast) on medium... Mats was the perfect teammate and did a couple of brilliant laps blocking the other guys, but sadly he went off and damaged his car, leaving me with two much faster cars filling my mirrors constantly. I didn't breathe the last 4 laps, blocking as much as I could within the regulations, and as I went out from the last corner and got a good exit I cheered for my amazing 6'th place.

Qualifying - Race 1 - Race 2 - Race 3

2016-01-26 : Race 6 - Cadwell

Such an appalling track... I got no good laps at all during practice, and in qualifying I only managed to get within 0.8 of my PB, really bad to be honest. Started 8'th in the first race, managed to pass two and then fought with Filip for a while. I passed him and a few laps later I had a long trip over the grass and then Lars passed me. I chased him for the remaining two laps, almost with constant physical contact, but had to settle for an 8'th in the end. After all, a decent result.
Second race, I chose to use my soft set here, a bit of a gamble since there was a big risk for rain. A few cars spun off soon after the start, and suddenly I climbed a few positions. After a while I almost crashed into Henrik and Erik while they had a good fight, they nudged each other a few times and I managed to pass Henrik and took chase after Erik. He was (as always) just too good at driving fast and in a brilliantly defensive manner, and I had to "settle for" a 3'rd place. Incredible!
The third race, well... Massive weight penalty and medium tires, I guessed on second last, but managed to keep up pretty ok. A massive crash happened away from me, resulting in full course yellow and Safety Car for a couple of laps. Once the race restarted one car went off and Lars managed to pass me, so I stayed in 8'th... However, the final 6 laps got quickly wetter, and wetter, and it would be better using boats as we crossed the line. Another 8'th

Qualifying - Race 1 - Race 2 - Race 3

2016-01-12 : Race 5 - Croft

Missed this track last season, and it's very hard to pass here!
Qualifying was so-so, started 11'th, which actually is quite ok. In the first race, I managed to gain one spot and keep that for a while, chasing after Lars furiously while defending from Mattias who was right behind me. I then made a mistake and let Mattias pass, and the chase got a lot tighter! this time with Mattias right ahead, and Martin V right behind. I attacked a few times, and was attacked a few times, and managed to keep the 11'th.
The second race saw a lot of action, a big crash in the start gave me 9'th, and I then chased after Conny for the rest of the race. An accident ahead gave me another, and an 8'th place finish is brilliant! In the third race I started 3'rd after the first 10 were reversed, fell down to 6'th and then started following Eric. Another race with tight chasing, and when Conny in 3'rd did a mistake, both Eric and I managed to sneak past and the last three laps are crazy chasing Eric and being chased by Conny. An amazing 4'th place!

Race 1 - Race 2 - Race 3

2015-12-15 : Race 4 - Oulton Park

I do not like this track, at all. I struggled very hard to get a decent qualifying time and finally managed to beat my own PB with almost half a second, resulting in a 5'th place on the grid. The first race was decent, but but not very interesting on my behalf, finished an ok 12'th. The next race was better, though a massive crash between several cars was really scary. Thanks to that, I ended up in 8'th, which was quite nice. The third race was more interesting, I saved my soft set for the last race and that really payed off! I had a great chase after Eric and Henrik, and after they both went a little wide in the hairpin I zipped past and then managed to keep ahead all the way to the finish line (though, that was no walk in the park!). My second 3'rd place for the season, absolutely amazing result.

Race 1 - Race 2 - Race 3

2015-12-01 : Race 3 - Thruxton

I was quite fast on Thruxton last season, and I should be able to get a decent starting position.. After a few attempts I'm second, 2 thousands behind Martin, until just a few laps remained and I managed to get pole! My first since I joined this league!
First race then, the nerves... I (of course) manage to go off in the second corner and lost all focus. I regained my speed after a lap or two, and chased furiously until I got contact with Henrik. After many laps, constantly trying to pass him in every possible corner he had a little spin in the chicane and I managed to pass, keeping my 6'th place over the line. Really really good! Finishing 6'th here is way over my expectations.

For the second race, I started in 8'th and had a superb fight all the way, struggling hard with Kent for 6'th for a while, and in the second race I also managed to finish 6'th after passing another Ossicon car.

The starting order for race 3 fell into my favour, and again I started in pole. As always I fell down a number of spots (I'm really not very good at getting the speed up from the start). After the hardest chase I've ever done, we were four cars basically with metal contact all around the track, Martin and Henrik have a little incident in the chicane, and Erik and I snuck past... and the chase continued. Erik passed me, and then Lars A was suddenly right up behind me! Then, in the last chikane, Erik gets a slightly worse exit than me, and we pass the line side by side with me just inches ahead! An incredible 4'th place for the final race, and the hardest, tightest race weekend I've ever driven. Absolutely amazing!

Race one, mostly from Johan's view

Race 1 - Race 2 - Race 3

2015-11-03 : Race 2 - Donington Park: National

Johan's races
Good qualifying lap, drove at my absolute best, and started 4'th. Another really fast race coming up. Mats and I both chose to use our softs in the first race so we wouldn't risk losing out if the rain would start as promised. I managed to keep the pace as the start went and as three cars touched a bit hard I snuck past and suddenly found myself in 4'th. Later I managed to pass Kent and slowly gained on Erik! The checkered flag fell and I finished third!
The second race, now with medium tires and 57 kg extra weight, was a lot harder, and after a lot of racing at my maximum I managed to take a 6'th place. The third, well adrenaline did it's thing and as I was leading for several laps I totally destroyed my tires and people started passing me, one after another until I finished 9'th, something I'm really happy with! After all an amazing race weekend, I'm really happy with this.

Race 1 - Race 2 - Race 3

2015-11-03 : Race 1 - Brands Hatch Indy

Johan's races
First qualifying for the new season. Lots of new drivers and new cars, and 20 cars on the grid There is a distinct potential for chaos here. One session later we all have times, its pretty tight, the fastest are really fast and the slower are all proper gentlemen and no accidents or incidents. I manage to get a 10th place on the grid, which is really good considering that I have driven close to nothing since the end of the last season.
First race starts, and from the very beginning until the checkered flag a little group are in close contact. In the end, Henrik, Mattias, Mats and I pass the line within 1.4 seconds and this is the fight for places 8-11! I finish in the same spot as I started in, a pretty nice 10th after being passed by both Henrik and Mattias.

The second race was an eventful one. I started ion 11th and when the race started with a big, big T1-crash I bounced between Henrik and Ainis as we all tried to avoid the chaos, and I spun off. Out again in 15th on several laps of full-course yellow. As I came into Druids on the inside of Sten, he headed in towards the corner a bit tight, I moved over, and Conny rear ended me as he tried going inside both of us. I managed to bounce against three cars before hitting the tire barrier, ripping the rear wing off. The car was the absolutely undriveable, so I went into the pits and repaired, and came out dead last 2 laps behind. As others were retiring I gained some positions, and after Ainis had two rolls with time in the pits I managed to pass him. In the end I finished 14th, which all things considered wasnt too bad.

I started down in 14th for the 3rd race, and since I spent my softs on the disastrous race 2, I had no hopes for anything better that perhaps climbing a few spots. Pretty quickly I found myself in a pack of cars, and I managed to chase past Bertil and Lars and almost didnt breathe for the rest of the race as Lars was chasing me furiously. Super fun! And I managed to gain 7 places, ending 7th. Really nice ending of the race weekend.

2015-04-14 : Race 12 - Loch Drummond

A very exciting qualifying with a nice starting position in 4'th, and the entire field within a second. The pulse was at maximum as the green light came on, and I managed to hold on to fourth for about half the race. As Henrik went wide in the chicane I dove in and went for the outer line though a bit too aggressive and we made contact as I slid out too, shoving him up on the grass a bit. I did however manage to take third, and started chasing Conny. Eventually I passed the line, still in 3'rd... Incredible!

The second race was on medium instead of soft, and with 27 kg of weight... Not quite the same story, but reasonably good until I spun and the entire field passed me. Taking up chase from last place I stressed Ainis who flipped the car, and the chasing for Lars I managed to pass him on the second to last lap. 11'th isn't all that good, but it's not last!

The last race was good for 1/3 of a lap, and i plant a tire on the grass and get a major spin. Not again! On pure anger I manage to eat up the 12 second gap, and pass 4 drivers, ending up 9'th. Worth to mention is that my wheel vibrated more than I've ever felt before the entire race. Well, that was the last race of the season... A solid 9'th for me.

Race 1 - Race 2 - Race 3

2015-03-31 : Race 11 - Oran Park

After an absolutely catastrophic qualifying where i started 10'th (only managing one single ok lap, the last one) an extremely chaotic race on a wet track started. Cars flew everywhere, crashes and carnage during the entire race, and suddenly I passed the line in 4'th! Can't quite believe it.
The second race saw a massive accident, followed by full course yellow. Before that I rolled my car and got a puncture, and once the race restarted the tires went extremely fast. Eventually I couldn't hold it, and tore the left rear suspension badly, and my race finished in the pits with a tenth place.
Third race then, starting at tenth I had nothing but problems, slamming into the walls several times. After some agony and a constant screeching of the tires for ten laps, I ended up 11'th. Meh..

Race 1 - Race 2 - Race 3

2015-03-17 : Race 10 - Essington

Johan couldn't drive due to sickness, but Mats took home some really impressive points, including a bronze! The races had a lot more accidents than the earlier ones, so there was no shortage of action, which can be seen here in a little film of the "highlights" made by Martin in GoDo racing.

Race 1 - Race 2 - Race 3

2015-03-03 : Race 9 - Silverstone

Johan's races
Qualifying was scary! 1.29 seconds between the first and the last driver... This bunch is a blast to drive with!
Starting the first race in 7'th, 0.47 behind a surprising pole from Robert! Rickard got a harsh last place start after being kicked out several times, therefore not getting the weight penalty.

I was looking forward to an exciting race, but it was just a long train.. I gained two spots in the start, did a little mistake and let a few guys past me, and then it was just speedcruising to the finish line. (Robert as an exception as he passed me after I passed him as he was shoved off). Ended up 9'th in the end.
Second race, got shoved and spun quite early, and then ended up last. Ainis was a gentleman and let me pass (not sue if he was to blame or if it was a race incident). After that I chased like mad and passed first Lars, and then on the straight before the finish I managed to sneak past Sten. Decent 11'th after a crap race.
Third race was intense, but not very successful. A measly 8'th after having a pack of cars in front of me, constantly blocking me. Decent fights here and there.

Race 1 - Race 2 - Race 3

2015-02-17 : Race 8 - Rockingham

Johan's races
Qualifying: 15 people in 1.75 seconds, damn it's tight! Set my best lap ever, with a huge margin, and ended up 7'th of the starting line.
First race: Super super tight with the brothers, Kent and Rickard just ahead of me for the entire race. After doing a total brainfart where I plowed between Kent and Erik (forgot the brake point completely, as you do when you may pass Erik!), I let them both pass me and took up chase again. After Rickard had a little accident I managed to pass him, but by then my tires were practically burning, and my chances on Erik were gone. I finished a fantastic fourth place!
Second race: Fighting furiously for over half the race! Claes and Lars were a lot faster, but I did everything to keep them behind me. Then, only a few corners from the finish line my tires were completely dead and they both passed me. Finally came in at 7'th. Did Claes and Lars use soft? They had so much more speed!
Third race: The first seven switched, so starting in pole.. Nerves. Got a quite poor start but after keeping my place for a while I got tackled onto the grass by Claes, and both he and Robert passed. After that it was all about chasing and I ended up in 6'th, very nice! Over all, an absolutely fantastic race weekend.

Race 1 - Race 2 - Race 3

2015-02-03 : Race 7 - Putnam Park

Johan: Best race of the season so far! Starting 8'th and being blocked by Mattias who seemed to miss the flag, I got really lucky with a few grass drivers and suddenly I was in 5'th. After a fight with Robert (who spent his tires) I passed him and took up the chase for Kent in 3'rd, but after over driving, reducing his lead to 1 second, I had no tires left and had to settle for 4'th, super happy! Best of all, Mats came in right behind me in a splendid 5'th, a superb race for SMV.
The second race was very exciting, starting in 4'th and getting passed by a few guys I took up the chase and managed to get into 7'th with Mats right in front of me. Mattias and Robert fought hard behind, less than a second behind, and after Mats tasted some grass and Mattias and Robert fell behind, we got in at 6'th and 7'th (same order as last race). Absolutely fantastic racing weekend so far.
Third race wasn't that successful, I got passed by a bunch of drivers and lost the rhytm, but stayed with the pack. Mats on the other hand kept up in the top and zoomed off and ended up with an amazing bronze! I finished in 8'th, and.. well, quite happy with that anyway.

2015-01-20 : Race 6 - Snetterton

Johan: No practice, and way too few laps done, so a rather expected last starting place (14'th). A lot of accidents and spinning cars in the first lap, so I ended up in 8'th and kept there for the rest of race despite Claes hunting me furiously for about 8 laps. Highest pulse yet I think. Second race turned disastrous, I planted the car hard into the wall, repaired for 303 seconds, and replaced the wrong tire. So I went back into the race with a brand new left front tire, and a punctured right one. The third race was quite fun, started 12'th and ended up 10'th after quite a lot of good fighting! On the whole not very happy with the places, but nontheless quite fun racing.

No participation from SVM racing at Croft but there are still some good reports to enjoy.

2014-12-16 : Race 4 - Oulton Park

Johan: Severe problems with our mechanical department led to only one car on the grid, Johan's. After a mediocer qualifying the first race started, and after only a short while, three of us went in side by side, and I drew the shortest straw and went hard into the tire wall. I barely managed to get to the pits, and my lousy mechanics took forever to fix it. After that it was just a matter of taking it over the finish line in 14'th and last place.
The second race was much more interesting. With soft tires I mangaged to climb up to 7'th, a really nice race!
The third race saw me in pole, and after an intense race with a lot of close driving, I managed to end up 5'th, which I'm very happy about!

2014-12-02 : Race 3 - Thruxton

Johan: After performing surprisingly good during the practice sessions I headed for the qualifying with lots of nerves. Despite matching my personal best I only qualified 7'th, and in the start for the first race my heart was racing. The expected teams (GoDo and SSR) took off like rockets and I drove at my absolute maximum and managed to keep up. After a while Conny spun off, and after that I spent the rest of race overdriving slightly, keeping up with Rickard, but not managing to pass. End result an amazing 4'th!
Second race was also great, came out fifth after some action in the start. After two people ahead went off (leaving me at third) I kept driving as fast as I could, but I was passed by two more, and ended up in fifth.
Third race was a lot more eventful! Dodging cars several times, hooking together with others, and performing an aggressive pass of Kent. I dropped to 10'th, and managed to come back up to 6'th, however since I misjudged my speed gravely (pushing Kent off track) I got a drivethrough penalty and dropped to 11'th.

2014-11-18 : Race 2 - Donington

The first race started with a soaking wet track and SMV took it very very easy, knowing it would be very slippery. We trundled on in 17'th and 18'th, the two last places and then accidents started happening ahead of us. Not only accidents actually, but also fueling mistakes and other happenings. Mats sadly went off and Johan ended up in an unexpected 10'th.

The second race was action packed for Johan, tight racing many laps and a very pleasant 8'th

The third race saw Johan at 2'nd starting position, and after an excellent start and two laps in the lead there was... a big moment (see pic), and Erik passed. The chase behind was fierce, and Rickard, who started 16'th! made a truly demonic race and caught up with only 5 laps left. After passing Johan, he braked a bit late, falling back into third, but after Johan getting a hangup on one corner, Rickard got his well deserved second place back, and Johan ended up third, absolutely brilliant!

2014-11-04 : Race 1 - Brands Hatch

First qualifying for the season. We both did really nice qualifying sessions, and got position 11 and 14... Wow this is a tough league to drive in!
Mattias took the first point of the season in his first race with G.I.R.L, really impressive.

First race, where we expected utter chaos, went excellent! Extremely few incidents and really tight racing. Our results were less fantastic, a 9'th place for Johan and 11'th for Mats. Second race was more eventful, but still clean and fast. Johan ended up 9'th after trying to catch up with drivers 2-7 who were driving in a line ahead, under 8 seconds between number 2 and 9.

Race three started great for Johan, quickly moving up to 7'th and then an incident with Kent, and a front wheel came off... Curtains, race over.
